These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ShadowSnap app and related services (“Service”), operated by Rauff M Imasdeen (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must provide accurate registration details and are responsible for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Your vault is protected by a PIN and security questions that only you know. We store these in a form we cannot read or reverse. If you lose your PIN or security answers, we cannot recover them or the photos they protect. You are solely responsible for keeping them safe. Your login password, which is separate, can be reset by email.
You retain all rights to the photos you upload (“Content”). You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, encrypt, and deliver your Content back to you as part of the Service. You are responsible for your Content and confirm you have the right to store it.
You agree not to use the Service to store or share content that is illegal, or to:
ShadowSnap offers a free plan and paid plans (Basic, Pro, and Max), each available on a monthly or yearly term. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are managed by your store account. Each paid plan begins with a 7-day free trial: you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends; otherwise it converts to the plan you chose and renews automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Prices and storage allowances are shown in the app and may change with notice for future billing periods.
You may invite others using your referral code. When someone signs up with your code and starts a paid subscription, both of you may receive free subscription days added to your plans. Rewards apply only once a referred user's paid subscription actually begins (a cancelled free trial does not qualify), are subject to the limits shown in the app, and may be changed or withdrawn for abuse or fraud.
You may cancel anytime through your app store account; you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period. We do not delete your photos the moment you cancel. However, if your stored data exceeds your current plan's allowance (for example, after a downgrade or a lapsed payment):
You can avoid deletion by re-subscribing or by removing enough photos to fit your plan.
Payments are handled by the app stores, and refunds are subject to Apple's and Google's policies. Please direct refund requests to the relevant store.
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are encouraged to keep your own backups of important photos.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rauff M Imasdeen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law. On termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the Emirate of Dubai, UAE, will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where local consumer-protection laws in your country of residence grant you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are not affected.
